2017 John Sebas­tiano Vineyard

Locat­ed in the north east­ern cor­ner of the AVA this vine­yard site is a few degrees warmer. John Sebastiano’s fruit ripens a lit­tle ear­li­er here than Radi­an and La Encan­ta­da. We get two Dijon clones from this loca­tion, 115 and 667, which we like to co-fer­ment, if luck has it in store for us. This love­ly vine­yard is metic­u­lous­ly farmed. The wine has a medi­um ruby col­or and is full on the palate, while exhibit­ing dark cher­ry fruit, pret­ty flo­ral notes, spice, smok­ing tobac­co. It’s lay­ered and com­plex with a pleas­ing acidic bal­ance that gains depth on the finish.
