2019 Skins

A more dri­ving ren­di­tion of the Skins, the 2019 vin­tage is racy at first open­ing. On the nose fresh red berries abound, accent­ed by fresh­ly caramelized sug­ar, star anise, clove and can­died laven­der. The exu­ber­ant Grenache is juicy and bright on the palate car­ry­ing a beau­ti­ful ten­sion between the acid and tan­nins clean through the crisp fin­ish. As the wine opens up on the palate, fresh straw­ber­ries and rasp­ber­ries are accom­pa­nied by a driz­zle of caramel, a dash of herbs de provence, and a refresh­ing hint of mint. The bright herb com­po­nents on the palate seg­way seam­less­ly into notes of leather and crushed lime­stone on the fin­ish of the wine.
